Before the interview with the developers, this decision seemed to me the most problematic in MK11. After all, this is a great occasion to the eyeballs to fill the project with lutboxes and microtransactions to tear off more money from fans. I asked the developers a direct question and received no less direct answer: No lubboxes and no micallors They don't plan yet. DLC with new characters and costumes – yes, of course, but so it was before. As for customization, certain items can only be obtained for completing tasks, and not for real money. I can’t even believe that the same company published this game that released Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

MKX already had variable characters: each hero had three preinstalled versions with different special receptions. Now you can add your own to ready -made sets. The developers did not blindly copy the Injustice 2 approach: there each thing directly influenced the characteristics of the character, and the players sometimes had to sacrifice appearance for the sake of advantage in battle. Now these two concepts are divided.

Setting options are full. For example, you can choose what a kunai, katana and a scorpion mask look like, and insert up to three modifiers into each item (and this is only one of the customization screens). In demo, I chose an increase in experience for battle and increasing damage from one of the attacks by five percent.

This is probably useful for training before online battles: you can both choose from ready-made presets, and create yourself a manually sparring partner.

Life after "X-Ray"

There are also purely gameplay changes, and two of them are very noticeable. Firstly, the fighters no longer have a single energy strip for all techniques. There were two of them, two divisions in each: for defensive movements like a “Breaker” and for attacking. X-ray as a concept was generally removed, and instead of it they added Fatal Blow-something like Rage mechanics from Tekken 7. The bottom line is the same: this is a super -powerful cruel combination, but now it is activated only at moments when you have less than 30% of health, does not spend a single type of energy and works only once in the entire match. But if you miss you, after a few seconds, the “fatal blow” will be restored, and you can try again. If you do not die by that time, of course ..

The second change is much more controversial: there is no run in MK11 (though there is a Dash and a block dash). The lack of running also means that characters without teleportation can be more difficult to get to an enemy who prefers control over the entire screen. Another novelty, slightly less noticeable, but important: the perfect block. And the list of techniques is now replete with even more detailed data on personnel, damage, a place of strike, and so on – much more than in MKX. All this information will give a lot of food for thought to fans to fight at a serious competitive level. And, according to the developers, it is likely that more e -sports tournaments will take place in the future in MK11.

Nevertheless, the developers did not fail to say that the presence of objects of these heroes does not confirm that they themselves will appear in the game.

In addition to the characters available in demo, Cassie Cage, Kitan, Li Kan, Kun Lao and Kronika lit up in trailers. For which of them it will be possible to play is still unknown. I asked the developers if the appearance of guest characters from the DC universe is possible, because in the games of the Injustice series we saw Scorpio and Sab-Ziro. They answered me that it would be very difficult to do, because when creating a guest character, he will be adapted to the universe of the game. There is a lot of new MK11, but the main thing remains unchanged: it is amazing to play it amazingly. Demo version gave me several hours of spectacular, bloody and dynamic fights, which did not bring almost any negative emotions, even after defeats. Key unknown factors that can still harm her are a script and a network code (well, balance, of course).
